Travel Cards
If you are currently registered with our service we can provide you with a FREE travel card.

There are two different cards - one for County and one for City depending on your location. Below is some key information for both of the cards!
The County Travel Card
The City Travel Card
Both travel cards are in place until a young carer reaches the age of 19
YCN can support with applications for young carers up until their 18th birthday, after this point it will be through the Carers Hub
In both cases the card application will be processed by YCN, the card will then be sent to the young carers address directly. With both card applications we need consent to share information with the producers of the card, this consent needs to come from a parent or guardian and is part of the application form process.
Any lost cards – we can sort a replacement, just let your support worker know so we can cancel the old one, in some cases there may be a small charge for a replacement card.
To use the card – in most cases on trams and buses in the Nottinghamshire and Nottingham City – it is a case of tapping the card on the validator scanner on the tram or bus when starting your journey. You may be asked to produce your card if asked by a ticket inspector.
